Special Operations Division What are Special Operations?
The Special Operations Division encompasses all those incidents that the organization responds to that are low in frequency, yet high risk in nature. Examples of these incidents would include:
- Cliff/High Angle Rescue
- Urban Search and Rescue
- Structural Collapse
- Water Rescue
- Confined Space
- Hazardous Materials
- Trench Rescue
These types of incidents require specific on-going training of a specialized nature. The Special Operations Division oversees and conducts the training for all of the above disciplines. |
